Outfitted with BAK4 roof prisms and anti-reflection fully coated lens surfaces, the binocular delivers bright and sharp high-contrast images with true-to-life color and crisp clarity. The 42mm objectives gather generous amounts of light to further boost performance in less-than-ideal conditions without the bulk and weight of larger objectives.Designed to withstand the rigors of the trail, the optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to make them waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature variations. The chassis is made of a combination of aluminum and plastic and wrapped in a protective rubber armor that provides a slip-resistant grip in the rain. To further cut weight while providing users with more area to grip, Meade employs an open-bridge configuration with a dual hinge.
