Product description The Meade Sky Assurance Warranty coverage gives you peace of mind through an extension of Meade's standard-issue 1-year warranty, and is particularly practical for a big, expensive, regular-user scope.With this Sky Assurance coverage, Meade will repair any manufacturer defects to your scope for up to 5 years from the date of original purchase (impact/abuse/debris/moisture/etc. not covered). Additionally, if you've purchased a Sky Assurance Warranty when you bought your Meade scope from an authorized dealer, you can extend the coverage by purchasing it again at the end of the coverage. Sky Assurance coverage can be transferred to a second owner, greatly increasing the potential resale value of your scope-important to those dabblers whom love trying all different manner of scopes through the years. There's also a "No-Lemon" guarantee; if your scope requires service from manufacturer defect a third time, it will be instead be replaced. You are responsible for shipping the scope to Meade; Meade will pay for the shipping of the scope back to you. However, and important to those using big catadioptric units, you can purchase Meade's Sky Assurance Advance Shipping warranty and Meade will mail you a scope-specific package along with a prepaid shipping label. Note: For USA customers only. - Transferable
