Product description Meade Instrument's LX70 Dual-Axis Motor Drive converts the standard manual mount into a motorized one for more precise tracking and reduced vibration. The conversion kit comes with right ascension and declination motors, a hand controller, battery pack, and all the hardware required to install the motor drives. Once installed, this conversion kit gives you control of both axes with sidereal speeds of 2x, 4x, and 8x. Friction clutches with disengagement levers allow you to manually move the scope quickly by hand or with the slow-motion cables that originally came with mount. The controller and motors are powered from an external battery pack that runs on four "D" cell batteries. An LED indicator on the hand controller lets you know when the motors are running and when the battery power is low.
