Optical Tube Assembly
• • Large 127mm aperture is ideal for viewing the moon, planets, and bright deep-sky objects
  • Fast f/5.8 focal ratio helps to preserve a wide field of view, image brightness and resolution
  • 700mm focal length helps to produce the fast focal ratio
  • Refractor-style design produces less aberrations than reflectors or catadioptric designs for sharper and clearer views and images
  • Air-spaced achromatic doublet lens design produces high-contrast and resolution views
  • Anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics maximize light transmission through the light path to ensure bright and crisp views
  • Single-speed 2" rack-and-pinion focuser allows the use of larger eyepieces and accessories, and a 1.25" reducer adapter further expands compatibility
  • Fully extendable dew shield helps to keep condensation off the lens

  • Star configuration corrects viewing horizontally, but not vertically

  • Low 8x power ensures a wide field of view for faster alignment and easier star-hopping navigation
  • Large 50mm aperture produces bright images to more easily find alignment stars
  • Crosshair reticle enables precision centering, requiring less fine-tuning in eyepiece
