Product description Quickly erase hard disk drives in the field with the Mediaclone Superwiper 7 Secure Hard Drive Eraser. The Superwiper 7 is small and can be transported easily in the included case. What the unit lacks in size, it makes up in functionality. Running at maximum capacity, the Superwiper 7 can erase up to seven hard drives or SSDs simultaneously using its three SATA and four USB 3.0 ports. IDE drives can be connected using the included IDE to SATA adapters. With its touch-screen interface and Linux operating system, erase options on the Superwiper 7 are easily selected. Hard drives and SSDs can be erased using either Department of Defense (DoD) or Secure Erase (SATA) protocols. Erasure speeds are approximately 28GB/min for SSDs and 10GB/min for HDDs. SATA drives connected to the unit can powered by the device using the included SATA/power combo cables. When operations are complete, the unit can be conveniently stored in the included shoulder bag for transport.
