Product description Erase up to 10 hard disks or solid state drives in the field with the Mediaclone Superwiper 8" Field Hard Drive Eraser. Once drives are connected, the unit can be easily configured to format the connected drives with the 8" color touchscreen Linux GUI with large icons. At maximum capacity, the Superwiper 8" can erase 10 drives simultaneously in four separate sessions using 4 SAS/SATA ports and 8 USB 3.0 ports. Legacy drives which use the IDE interface can also be connected using the included IDE to SATA adapters. Drives can be securely erased using either Department of Defense (DoD) or Secure Erase (SATA) protocols. Other standard formatting options include NTFS (Windows), exFAT, FAT32, HFS+ (Mac), and EXT4 (Linux). Once drives are erased the Superwiper 8" can generate a log file in compliance with DoD and Security Erase protocols. The Superwiper 8" can also find its way onto production sets where digital media has to be prepared quickly after the data has been copied. A card reader can be plugged into an available USB port and the Superwiper 8" can erase the card inside the reader and format it to the file system of your choice. This workflow completely erases your media and will ensure that you will have memory cards ready to go on set. Other drive connection options are available via optional upgrades. An Express port option allows for the connection of IEEE 1394 and other portable devices while an Expansion Box option opens up the capability to format SCSI and mini PCI-E drives. The Superwiper 8" is encased in a durable metal enclosure and includes a case for transport and protection. The included power supply connector is threaded and keyed for a secure connection while the device is operating.
