Product description MCharacter from MeldaProduction is a plug-in that allows for direct access to the harmonics of your monophonic audio material. It is highly effective on vocals, bass, trumpet, saxophone, or any other monophonic instrument. Use the on-board controls to change up to 32 harmonics, thereby changing the character of the sound well beyond the capabilities of an equalizer.
The plug-in contains two synthesis methods—harmonic synthesis via the Synthesis Graph and actual note synthesis via the Note Graph. Add or remove harmonics to create synthesized tones or clean up overly harmonic content. Modulate any parameter from sources such as an LFO, audio-level follower, envelope generator, randomizer, or pitch detector. Additionally, a randomization button generates random settings for discovering happy accidents. - Advanced User Interface
- MCharacter features an advanced GUI engine, which is freely resizable and stylable. It also lets you choose between knobs, sliders or buttons, allowing it to look ancient/vintage or super-modern and futuristic
- Visualization Engine with Classic Meters and Time Graphs
- The plugin can display the measurements of all relevant values using classic meters, or it can even show them in time using the time graphs
- Four Versatile Modulators
- MCharacter provides 4 fully featured modulators which can control any set of parameters including other modulators. Each modulator works as an LFO, level follower, midi/audio triggered ADSR enveloper, randomizer or pitch detector, or even a combination and can listen to the plugin's sidechain input
- Four Multiparameters
- Control multiple parameters using a single multiparameter. This may not only come handy for automation, for example, but the multiparameters are very smart units and you can use them to smartly morph between banks of settings
- M/S, Single-Channel, and Eight-Channel Surround Processing
- The software can handle not only mono and stereo signals, but also mid/side encoding for stereo field processing, separate left & right channels, separate mid or side signal and up to 8 channels of surround audio
- Smart Randomization
- The smart randomization algorithm wisely selects good-sounding combinations of parameters. It can even randomize modulators for you
- Automatic Gain Compensation
- The automatic gain compensation quickly adapts to current settings and ensures the output sounds as loud as the input
