Product description The LIO-8 from Metric Halo is a compact and lightweight line-level digital audio converter that provides you with the power, features, and quality of the ULN-8, but without the mic pres. The LIO-8 features analog, AES, and FireWire interfacing and supports sample rates up to 192kHz. It has DC-coupled, zero phase distortion, servo-balanced line inputs and outputs, plus fully clickless remote controlled monitor outputs that allow flexible monitoring applications from stereo to 7.1 surround.
The LIO-8 has tactile controls for making quick and easy adjustments. It also offers precision metering for both the input and output channels. The unit works with or without a computer and has fully digital control for total recall, remote control, and control surface support. The system uses real-world tested firmware, software, and drivers to ensure rock-solid stability and reliable performance. Metric Halo's exclusive per-channel selectable character lets you adjust sonic characteristics from ultra-clean to thick and gooey. Ultra-low latency instantiable processing is built-in, with plenty of DSP power. All of these features are combined in a compact, lightweight, and affordable package.
The LIO-8 is also upgradeable and expandable. You can install 4 or 8 channels of mic pres, and also upgrade the unit's processing by adding a "+DSP" license, which unlocks over 100 plug-ins and gives you the capability to create and save complex processing graphs and access factory-supplied macros such as processors, amp simulators, and more. - Compact and lightweight 1RU design
