Product description Inspired by Dr. Paul Rudolph's original plasmat designs from the early 1900s, the Leica M-mount APO-Makro-Plasmat 105mm f/2.7 from Meyer-Optik Gorlitz is a unique lens characterized by its accurate yet creative rendering and portrait-length field of view. As an apochromat, this lens is adept at significantly reducing chromatic aberrations and color fringing in order to realize high clarity and precise color rendering. Coated Schott glass is used in the six elements, five groups optical design, too, which helps to achieve greater contrast when working in strong lighting conditions. Additionally, the lens's manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 3.6' away and its 15-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality. - Short-telephoto prime designed for full-frame and 35mm Leica M-mount rangefinder cameras. This lens is uncoupled to the rangefinder system and conventional through-the-viewfinder focusing is not supported on Leica M-mount cameras; manual focusing must be done using live view or zone focusing techniques.
- Bright f/2.7 maximum aperture suits working in difficult lighting conditions and also offers increased control over depth of field for selective focus techniques.
- Apochromatic optical design virtually eliminates chromatic aberrations and color fringing for impressive clarity and accurate color rendition.
- Coated Schott glass is used for high clarity and contrast, as well as reduced lens flare and ghosting.
- Manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 3.6' away.
- Fifteen diaphragm blades help produce an artistic and distinctly circular bokeh quality.
