Product description Breathing New Life: Meyer-Optik Lenses Read More Delivering an unmistakably distinct bokeh quality, the Trioplan 100mm f/2.8 Titanium Lens from Meyer-Optik Gorlitz is an update and 100-year commemoration to a classic vintage optic, and is available here for Leica M-mount rangefinder cameras. The short telephoto focal length pairs with manual focus operation and an f/2.8 maximum aperture for working with selective focus and controlling depth of field, and a 15-blade diaphragm produces an especially smooth, round bokeh quality. In regard to image quality, a classic triplet optical design is used, which produces strong colors and high central sharpness, and also contributes to the distinct "soap bubble" bokeh that made this lens's predecessor so famous nearly a century ago. This modern version, however, uses coated Schott glass for increased contrast and color neutrality, and has a lightweight, durable aluminum alloy housing that has been finished with a unique titanium anodizing. This Titanium version is also part of a limited edition of 100 pieces, and has a unique serial number to appeal to collectors and photographers alike. - Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the original Trioplan 100mm f/2.8 lens, this Titanium collector's version is serialized and available in a limited edition of 100. Distinguishing it from the standard version, this lens features a unique titanium anodized finish for enhanced durability and an aesthetic finish that is corrosion-resistant, able to withstand high-temperature environments, and less susceptible to showing signs of age or wear over time.
- Short telephoto prime designed for full-frame and 35mm Leica M-mount rangefinder cameras. Due to the unique focal length of this lens, rangefinder focusing is not supported on Leica M-type cameras; manual focusing must be done using live view or zone focusing techniques.
