Product description Middle Atlantic's Half Rack Power Distribution with 20A Series Protection is a half rack unit that can power and protect up to four SignalSAFE cords. This rackmount is ideal for installation in half-width racks like the Middle Atlantic HRF Series. Rack ears can be removed for installation vertically between rackmounted equipment and the side of a rack, or other space-restricted areas.
Surge protection is a critical element in ensuring overall system reliability. While MOV-based surge suppression technology is a proven and cost effective solution for many installations, over time and under the right circumstances the protection provided by poorly designed MOV-based surge protectors can be compromised, or under extreme circumstances fail completely, leaving connected equipment vulnerable to damage. For critical applications, many professional installers and consultants prefer to use or specify non-degrading (series-type) surge technology. Series-type surge suppressors are designed to withstand multiple high voltage surges for the lifetime of the product, and do not depend on any degrading materials in their design. - Connected devices are automatically disconnected (protected) from sustained over and under voltage events
- Automatic recovery after an over/under voltage event minimizes system downtime (unlike devices that require hard reset after a surge event)
