Product description The OCAP-3 3U Vented Clamping Rack Shelf from Middle Atlantic is a rack shelf that has been specially designed to promote airflow with equipment that generates significant amounts of heat, such as cable TV boxes and other similar units. This model eliminates the need to vent panels between each shelf in your rack, saving you both space and money in the configuration of your setup.
The rack shelf features (2) adjustable foam-padded mounting bars on the bottom of the shelf and another (2) identical bars on the top of the shelf. The lower two bars make up the bottom of the rack and make for the superior airflow characteristics of this unit. By placing the equipment between these bars, air can circulate freely on every side. Moreover, your equipment can be secured between the bars without fear of scratching because of the padded surface on the bars.
This unique solution will lower the operating temperature of your equipment and thereby extend its useful life. The unit is constructed of steel and features a black powder-coat finish. It occupies 3U of rack space. - Vented Clamping Shelf
