Product description The Middle Atlantic 20 Amp RackLink Web-Enabled Power Management System is a plug-and-play solution that provides you with remote monitoring and control of an eight-outlet series surge protector. You can control the unit via Internet IP, email alerts, and the RackLink mobile apps for iPad, iPhone, and Android. The unit is 100% cloud compliant and utilizes an open architecture serial API for third-party integration.
With this device, you can monitor variables such as the operating temperature, input voltage, load current, surge status, and power factor. This information is automatically logged into local storage every 5 minutes and whenever the system encounters an alert. The system can store up to 2,000 data entries which may be downloaded as a CSV file. You can review the data log through a local browser, and set rules to automatically power cycle, ping, and reset network connectivity when the system experiences a fault.
Each outlet in the system can be remotely or manually switched on and off to manage the energy requirements of connected devices. Local control of power can be extended outside of the rack through the device's dry contact outputs. This allows you to control the operation of devices plugged into the RackLink by sending current through the dry contact output(s) and into the device(s). The surge protector is housed in a one-unit rack-mountable chassis. - Cloud Compliant
- The RackLink is accessible over the cloud via its dedicated on-board web server
- Local and Remote Access
- The unit can be viewed through mobile web apps for iPad, iPhone, and Android
- DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name Services)
- The unit utilizes Dynamic Domain Name Services to give each router a unique domain name that keeps track of the IP address associated with the device
- Individual Device Control
- The unit allows you to name each outlet, contact, and connected device. Additionally, you are able to power cycle the unit on or off or set custom cycle delay periods up to 999 seconds in length
- Monitored Variables
- The unit can monitor peak and RMS input voltage, peak and RMS load current, temperature, surge status, connected load in watts, cumulative load in kilowatt hours, power factor, and thermal loads. High and low operating thresholds may be set for these variables to determine if and when alerts are sent and what action will be taken by the device
- Surge Status
- Power surges are indicated by the unit's local LEDs, by the status of its contact closure outputs, and through remote serial and TCP/IP notifications
- Data Logging
- The device will automatically log its monitoring variables as a database entry every five minutes. This data may be viewed through the local browser user interface, saved as a CSV file, or remotely extracted via IP or RS-232
- Alerts
- The unit can send an optional email notification if user defined temperature, input voltage or load current thresholds are exceeded or if the device does not respond to an auto-ping
- Energy Management
- The unit allows you to display and log energy usage in real time. This data can be graphed with third-party applications such as Microsoft Excel
- Scheduling
- Devices can be set to turn on and off at specific times to conserve electricity
