Product description Easily mountable with the included bracket and hardware, the 5001z 40-Channel Classic CB Radio from Midland is a classically styled 40-channel Citizen Band radio featuring an easy-to-read, dimmable LED channel display and quick access to emergency channel 9. This 4W radio has four knobs for quick adjustments of volume, squelch control, microphone gain, RF gain, and channel selection. The X-TRA TALK knob offers microphone gain control while using the transmit and PA modes. This radio features am S/RF Meter for visual feedback of the strength of incoming and outgoing transmissions. Access the emergency channel 9 quickly with the CH9/Normal switch. Simply switch it back to Normal to access the previous channel. The included PTT electret microphone connects to the front of the radio via a four-pin locking connector. The radio has a built-in speaker, and an external speaker (available separately) can be attached to the back for versatility. - S/RF meter provides visual feedback of incoming and outgoing transmissions
- X-TRA TALK knob adjusts the microphone gain while in the transmit and PA modes, allowing full talk power from several inches away from the microphone
- Automatic Noise Limiter (ANL) reduces background noise and cannot be turned off
