Its legs are made from metal and coated with silicon for protection and to prevent it from slipping on smooth surfaces. The Splat SLR's three legs are bendable and poseable so that it can be mounted to a variety of objects such as a pipe, ski pole, or tree branch. The Splat SLR is intended for use with a DSLR camera with a 1/4"-20 mount. One of the legs has a hole on the end, allowing you to attach the 1/4"-20 screw and camera to the end of that leg, or to hang the Splat from a nail or hook for unique mounting angles.
