Product description The CV3 9-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone matched pair from Miktek features two large-diaphragm CV3 tube condenser mics that are matched by Miktek by their individual frequency-response graphs to assure both mics have as close a frequency response as possible. The mics feature 9 selectable polar patterns including omnidirectional, cardioid, figure-8, and the transitional patterns between those. They can be used on vocals, piano, string ensembles, woodwinds, drum overheads or as room mics.
The CV3s are hand-assembled in Nashville with dual 1-inch MK9 capsules and a 5-micron Mylar, evaporate-gold diaphragms. The placement of the back-plate diaphragm is designed for linear off-axis response to increase the CV3's accuracy. Its hand-selected subminiature pentode vacuum tube coupled with the mic's custom AMI output transformer provides a warm response typically sought after in tube microphones.
Each microphone includes an individual serialized frequency-response graph created during final testing, in addition to a power supply, 7-pin XLR cable, swivel mount, shockmount, wooden box, and aluminum storage case.
