Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More Designed for the discerning outdoor enthusiast, the Minox 8x33 BV Binocular has an ergonomic form-factor that makes it comfortable in your hand while providing the performance required for hunting, hiking, or bird watching. Minox broke with tradition and opted for 33mm objectives to bridge the gap between the common 25mm and 42mm sizes, which increased both the light-gathering ability and apparent angle of view - essentially maintaining the compactness of the former with performance similar to the latter. To further increase image brightness, they coated the optics in their proprietary M* anti-reflection coatings which produce high-contrast images, with neutral color rendition so colors appear more true and natural.To help reduce weight - and therefore user-fatigue, without sacrificing strength, Minox employs an open-bridge/dual-hinge configuration which also provides a full-handed grip that helps maintain control in cold and wet conditions. The chassis is made of a strong and durable aluminum alloy, and the optical tubes are nitrogen-filled to make them water and fogproof, allowing them to handle extreme temperature and weather conditions. Weighing in at just 23 ounces, the BV is light enough to hold and use one-handed, but it you're planning on long observation sessions they can be mounted on a tripod using an optional tripod adapter. - Optical Performance
