Product description Pairing a portrait-length prime with a dedicated adapter for use on mirrorless cameras, the Mitakon Zhongyi 85mm f/2 Lens for Canon EF-Mount with Sony E-Mount Adapter Kit from B&H includes the Canon EF-mount lens, which can be used on full-frame Canon DSLRs, along with an adapter to enable its use on APS-C Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras.
The manual focus 85mm f/2 lens features a 6-element, 6-group design along with a metal lens barrel with printed depth of field and distance scales. The f/2 maximum aperture pairs with the short-telephoto 85mm focal length to enable selective focus and shallow depth of field control, which is complemented by a 10-blade diaphragm for a smooth out-of-focus quality.
The included Canon EF Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera Lens Turbo Adapter Mark II allows you to attach the included lens, or any EF-mount lens, to an APS-C-format E-mount mirrorless camera. The adapter also widens the lens' field of view by 0.726x and increases the maximum aperture by one stop, effectively making the included lens a 92.6mm f/1.4 on APS-C E-mount cameras. The adapter's design incorporates four coated elements, including one extra-low dispersion element, to maintain the original lens' quality and reduce aberrations. - Mitakon Zhongyi 85mm f/2 Lens for Canon EF Mount Often considered the ideal focal length for portraiture, Mitakon's 85mm f/2 Lens is a manual focus prime designed for full-frame and APS-C-sized Canon EF-mount DSLR cameras. The 6 element, 6 group design is housed within a metal lens barrel, which features printed depth of field and distance scales for greater control over focus placement. A corresponding increase in the maximum aperture of 1 f-stop makes the lens more effective in low-light situations.The Mark II version of the Lens Turbo features an improved design to produce sharper images. Its rectangular rear lens rests closer to the camera's sensor improving light transmission and an enhanced lens coating minimizes ghosting and flare. One extra-low dispersion (ED) lens element reduces aberrations for better delineated images. The adapter offers a sturdy metal construction and stainless steel mounts, it attaches to both camera and lens with little play and includes a front and rear protective cap. The Lens Turbo is a manual adapter offering no electronic communication between lens and camera.The Lens Turbo adapters are compatible with APS-C sized sensors.
