Product description Small enough to fit in your backpack or sit on your master MIDI keyboard, the black Modal Electronics SKULPT Virtual Analog Synthesizer packs four discrete polyphonic voices, eight oscillators per voice, waveforms that can be morphed between oscillators, plus a wide array of modulation options to deliver a huge sound in a highly portable package. With a 16-note keypad for note and control input, a step sequencer, an arpeggiator, and 128 patch presets, the synth can run for up to 12 hours on six AA batteries, so you can have it with you whenever and wherever the inspiration strikes.First in the company's family of highly portable electronic musical instruments, SKULPT is based on the innovative voice architecture of the Modal CRAFTsynth. Its intuitive design with 13 front-panel encoders lets you easily tweak the synth's parameters or transmits MIDI CC's for controlling external software and hardware via MIDI or class-compliant MIDI over USB.Prepare to unleash your creativity with pulse-width modulation, FM, ring modulation, a 2-pole resonant VCF that can be morphed (from low-pass, through band-pass, and up to high-pass), three separate envelope generators, two LFOs, and eight modulation slots with eight sources and thirty-seven destinations. A fully MIDI-syncable delay section and waveshaping distortion effect are available to further shape your sound. If you prefer programming and fine-tuning SKULPT via software, the MODALapp editor for Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android (free download available separately) provides complete visual control of all the parameters, patch management, and easy integration with the Modal CRAFT range. Simply connect SKULPT to any device running one of the supported operating systems with a micro-USB cable, and you are good to go. The software editor is completely optional and not required to use any of the SKULPT synthesizer's sound engine. - Key Features
