Anamorphic lenses operate by capturing a wider image than would normally be possible with standard optics. They accomplish this by horizontally squeezing or vertically stretching a wider image onto your phone's sensor. As this lens performs a squeeze of 1.33x, the horizontal field of view will increase by 33%, which gives videos an aspect ratio of 2.40:1, as compared to the spherical, or non-anamorphic ratio of 16:9 (1.78:1).
Moment built this lens using aerospace-grade metal and hand-polished glass. It will work on phones with dual lenses. Included is a hex tool, a microfiber bag, and a lens cap.
Please note that you will need a compatible phone case to use this lens. Also, this lens is only compatible with Moment's new lens mounting system and not their original lens mounting system. General Features - You'll need a case to use this lens. Once you identify which device you'll be using the lens with, you're ready to find a compatible case. Moment has a compatibility tool that provides a list of phones that this lens works with. Once you've determined if your device is compatible, choose from Moment's Photo Case, Wallet Photo Case, Battery Photo Case, or look for the "Moment Lens Ready" badge on non-Moment cases. Once you have a case, attaching a lens is simple with a twist-and-lock design. Their lenses are interchangeable, so you can use them on multiple devices, provided you have a case for each device.
- This lens features a re-designed mounting interface which is slightly larger, stronger, and easier to use. The larger diameter provides more surface area to make the attachment stronger. As such, this interface only works with Moment's new Photo Case and Battery Case, not the Original Photo Case.
