It attaches magnetically to the balancing arm of the Osmo Mobile and counterbalances the anamorphic adapter. It does the job whether the adapter is used with or without filters. Moreover, taking some of the pressure off the gimbal motor, the counterweight also helps save a bit of the gimbal's battery life. Although designed for the anamorphic adapter, it can also be used with other Moondog Labs lenses similar in size to the anamorphic adapter.
