Product description An homage to the '70s pedal used by Metallica's renowned original bassist, Morley’s Cliff Burton Tribute Series Power Fuzz Wah features both fuzz and wah effects which can be used separately or together. Though it was initially intended for use with electric guitar, Burton integrated the Power Fuzz Wah into his bass rig, and it became an essential element of his unique style and tone. The pedal offers a vintage-voiced wah, replete with a knob to adjust the level of the effect, and utilizes electro-optical circuitry, so there are no potentiometers which may degrade over time, becoming noisy with age. Instead, you are provided with a smooth, effectual wah.The pedal's fuzz section is switchable between modern and vintage modes, and offers controls for both level and intensity of the fuzz, footswitches to activate either effect, as well as LEDs to indicate the state of their usage. The Power Fuzz Wah includes 1/4" input and output jacks for connection to your instrument and amplifier, and is compatible for use with guitar, bass, or keyboards. It can operate using a single 9V battery or a separately available 9 VDC adapter. - Electro-Optical Circuitry
- An LED (Light Emitting Diode) shines on an LDR (Light Dependent Resistor). A shutter then alters light between the two components controlling the function, and this is how that wah-specific sweep through frequencies is created. This electro-optical design ensures smooth pedal control without unwanted noise from potentiometers, which conventional wahs typically use.
