Product description The Morley M2 Maverick Contour Wah Pedal combines Morley's electro-optical circuitry with its traditional potentiometer-based design in one enclosure, providing a footswitch which allows you to switch between the two modes—Maverick and Contour—with the push of a button. In Maverick mode, the pedal functions as a traditional wah, while in Contour mode, two rotary knobs are provided to shape the Contour and adjust the Level of the wah's tone. Separate LEDs are included to indicate when the pedal is powered and when Contour mode is active. The wah itself uses a switchless design so the effect is engaged when you step on the treadle and bypassed when you step off. With its True-Tone buffered bypass circuit, any signal routed through the pedal will be maintained in a pristine manner over long cable runs. The pedal utilizes a cold-rolled steel construction, and offers 1/4" input and output connections for your instrument and amplifier. The M2 Maverick Contour Wah runs on a 9V battery or an optional 9 VDC power adapter. - Electro-Optical Circuitry
- An LED (Light Emitting Diode) shines on an LDR (Light Dependent Resistor). A shutter then alters light between the two components controlling the function, and this is how the electro-optical circuitry makes the wah sound possible in this mode.
- Traditional Pot-Based Wah
- To facilitate a more traditional sound, the pedal also offers a mode which utilizes a 100-kOhm slide pot for classic tone, travel, and Q control.
