Product description The Traveler-mk3 from MOTU can function as both a FireWire audio interface or stand-alone mixer, and is primarily engineered for high-end mobile recording applications. Equally suited to any other audio situation, the unit delivers 4 high quality microphone inputs, and can be powered from either a computer's FireWire bus or via optional battery packs. It also features internal DSP-driven mixing and effects processing. As an interface or stand-alone mixer, the Traveler-mk3 provides 28 separate inputs and 30 separate outputs, including 4 combo microphone/instrument analog inputs equipped with pre-amps, individual 48V phantom power switches and Digital Precision Trim controls adjustable from the front panel or CueMix FX software. DSP effects include a 60-second reverb, 7-band parametric EQ and various flavors of compression/limiting. - Compact, fully featured FireWire interface
- Microphone, line and digital inputs and outputs are all discrete - no channel sharing
- 4 combo jacks provide either XLR microphone input or Hi-Z 1/4" guitar input using transparent preamps with phantom power, pad and 53dB of gain per channel
- High-resolution recording with the ability to operate all analog inputs and outputs at sample rates of up to 192kHz
- 16 channels of ADAT Lightpipe, 8 channels of SMUX (96 kHz) or two pairs of stereo TOSLink with the ability to mix and match formats between the two banks
- Stereo 24-bit/96kHz AES/EBU and stereo 24-bit/96kHz S/PDIF inputs and outputs
- On board CueMix FX is a flexible 28 input/16 bus mixer with on-board DSP effects, including classic reverb with sends/returns, plus modeled EQ and vintage compression on every input and output
- Multiple CueMix FX mixes can be created for monitoring or to add send/return loops for external processing with no added latency
- CueMix FX software provides real-time FFT and spectrogram "waterfall" displays for visual analysis of individual signals and entire mixes
- Can function in standalone mode
- Built-in SMPTE time code sync can resolve to, and generate time code without the need for an additional synchronizer
- Front panel volume control for monitoring with stereo, quad, 5.1, 7.1 and user-defined surround monitoring setups available
- Front panel meters or activity LEDs for all analog, digital and MIDI I/O, plus SMPTE sync, tach and lock LEDs
- Powered via the FireWire bus or using optional battery power packs
