Product description The FXpedition Monopod from Mountainsmith performs as a walking stick and converts into a monopod for supporting cameras or lightweight consumer camcorders. Made of four sections, three of them linked by vinyl coated cable connectors and one that telescopes down from the handle for height adjustment, the staff folds down as small as 17" for portability and storage. Its overall height can be adjusted by means of the flip-style Outerlock system. Removing the EVA foam handle reveals a standard 1/4"-20 camera screw; the FXpedition can support a 3-pound camera or camcorder and has a maximum load of 160 pounds as a trekking pole. The FXpedition Monopod is built from 7075 aluminum. It features an adjustable wrist strap, a removable hiking basket, a removable rubber boot tip, and a carbide tip for exceptional traction on a trail. - Three folding sections with vinyl-coated cable connectors
