Product description This Movcam Cine Cage Kit for Panasonic GH5 includes the accessories to outfit your GH5 camera and cine lenses for a production day. The included cage protects your camera, while the clip-on mattebox mounts to your lens enabling you to easily use your choice of 4 x 5.65" filters on your camera package. The snap-on follow focus unit allows you to smoothly "pull" focus during the shot.
Movcam's twist handle for the top of your cage is included, along with a riser plate which incorporates a NATO-type rail that enables attaching the twist handle to the cage. The cage features an Arca-Swiss compatible plate that interfaces directly with the cage's tripod mounting plate. The Universal Base Plate interfaces with the GH5 cage, allowing you to mount your camera (in the cage) onto your rig. Rounding out the kit are two 15mm support rods, and an ARRI compatible dovetail plate. - Panasonic GH5 Cage The Movcam Panasonic GH5 Cage provides form-fitting protection to your camera and supports mounting accessories without stressing your camera's body. Made from magnesium, the cage is both lightweight and rigid and allows full access to your camera's functions, battery, and SD card compartments. The front of the cage features two small raised tabs that secure your camera and prevents it from twisting inside the cage. It ships with a removable Metabones support attached, a support that interfaces neatly with the Arca-Swiss tripod plate.
Built into the cage are 26 separate 1/4"-20 threaded accessory mounting points as well as a cold shoe. This allows you to mount a wide variety of accessories to the cage. The Arca-Swiss tripod plate incorporates two 1/4"-20 threaded mounting holes, enabling you to mount the QR tripod plate of your choice. The design of the cage permits the use of the Panasonic XLR audio adapter. - Functions and features of the camera remain available for use.

- Universal LWS Base Plate with Arca-Swiss QR Mechanism This Movcam Universal LWS Base Plate with Arca-Swiss QR Mechanism mounts on ARRI compatible dovetail plates and accepts Arca-Swiss compatible camera plates. It incorporates individual locking levers for the Arca-Swiss and ARRI plates. It features lightweight magnesium construction and 15mm LWS rod clamps. The rod clamps use spring-loaded locking levers, which allow you to tighten or loosen the clamps even when you don't have room to turn the levers to their full rotation.
The base plate also features an adjustable lens support that helps lessen the stress on your camera's lens mount when using large or heavy lenses. The lens support adjustment allows you to compensate for lenses with different diameters. - Mini Follow Focus MF-2 The Movcam Mini Follow Focus MF-2 is a single-sided follow focus with a sliding base that accommodates different lens constructions.
The MF-2 quickly and securely mounts 15mm rods via a tightening mechanism controlled by a silver underside knob. A standard flexi-ring comes included for lenses that don't have ring teeth.
The gear drive is .8, and focus is achieved by constant damping that ensures precise focus. A focus scale helps measure focusing distances. - MM4 4 x 5.65" Clip-On/15mm LWS Rod-Mounted Matte box The Movcam MM4 4 x 5.65" Clip-On/15mm LWS Rod-Mounted Matte Box can be used as a clip-on matte box useable with lenses that feature a non-rotating front and a maximum outer diameter of 130mm. If the front of your lens rotates while focusing or zooming, you can use the matte box by mounting it to 15mm rods. It features 2 non-rotating filter stages that accommodate filters up to 4 x 5.65" in size.
The matte box hood is constructed from carbon fiber so it is both lightweight and strong. Two ARRI-compatible rosettes, one on each side of the hood, allow you to connect accessories including handgrips. Incorporating a lockable top flag (eyebrow) hinge that allows you to precisely set the included top flag to cut flare and glare without intruding into the frame, this matte box helps provide protection to your image from stray light. - Clips onto lenses with non-rotating fronts with a front outer diameter up to 130mm.
- 15mm LWS rod clamps allow you to use the matte box on an optional rod support rig. This is useful when working with lenses that feature a rotating front.
- The built-in hinge allows you to mount the included top flag to the matte box. The hinge is lockable for precise control, and the top flag folds in half to save space during storage.
- Twist Handle for Select Movcam Cages The Movcam Twist Handle is a quick-release top handle designed for use with Movcam's GH5 and a7 II-series camera cages, attaching to the cage via an included short NATO rail. Once attached, the handle can be rotated by loosening a top thumbscrew, letting you set the desired grip angle/position. Tightening the screw locks the handle in place. For accessory mounting, the handle features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded mounting holes, a single 15mm rod port, and two shoe mounts (one in front and one in back of handle).
