Product description Enhancing the contrast of nebulae emissions by passing only hydrogen alpha light, the H-Alpha 12nm Wideband Filter from MrStarGuy is compatible with telescopes featuring a 1.25"-diameter eyepiece. The design of this deep red long pass filter passes a wide, 12nm band of hydrogen and is ideal for shorter exposure times compared to a narrowband filter. By passing H-alpha light and attenuating light pollution wavelengths, this filter is especially well suited to photographing the Horsehead and North America Nebulae, along with other emission nebulae. It is constructed from HB610 tinted glass and polished and coated on both sides to prevent surface reflections and halo effects.
