Product description Intended for dark sky observation of emission and planetary nebulae, especially the Veil Nebula, the O-III Filter from MrStarGuy is compatible with telescopes featuring a 2"-diameter eyepiece. This filter is designed to only pass the two wavelengths of ionized oxygen, at 495.9nm and 500.7nm, in order to better discern fine details and clarity. In addition to visual observation, this filter is also ideally suited for digital astrophotography applications, especially in conjunction with an IR block filter, as well as some bright sky viewing of nebulae.
