Product description CES 2017: MSI Launches New B250, H270, and Z270 Motherboards Read More The MSI B250M Pro-VD mATX Motherboard lets you build a compact Windows system that is designed for home or office environments by coming equipped with an Intel B250 chipset and an LGA1151 socket. This combination of technologies enables this motherboard to become compatible with Intel's 7th-generation processors while remaining suitable with Intel 6th-generation CPUs. It can accommodate up to 32GB of DDR4 memory and six SATA-based 2.5"/3.5" drives as well as an ultra-fast SSD with an M.2 form factor.
MSI has outfitted the B250M Pro-VD with DVI-D and VGA ports to deliver detailed visuals using integrated Intel graphics. For editing videos and creating 3D designs, you can install an optional dedicated graphics card to its PCIe 3.0 x16 slot. To complete the multimedia experience, a Realtek ALC887-VD audio codec chipset is on board for immersing you in 7.1-channel sounds through three audio jacks.
Other notable connections include four USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, letting the desktop access printers, scanners, and external storage drives. There are also two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots and multiple internal USB headers to enhance the system's capabilities. - Intel B250 Chipset
