Product description Build an 8th-generation Intel-based wireless desktop system with the MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon Motherboard AC, which offers an Intel Z370 chipset and LGA 1151 socket along with an 802.11ac Wi-Fi/Bluetooth 4.2 PCIe card. This ATX motherboard comes armed with four DDR4 DIMM slots that can accommodate up to 64GB of memory modules, and you can set the chips to 4000 MHz speeds. For storage, six SATA connectors and two M.2 slots are on board to access lightning-fast SSDs, large-capacity HDDs, and versatile optical drives. To create a gaming system or video-editing workstation, there are three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, which support NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFire linking technology. Furthermore, the motherboard is armed with onboard LED lighting and supports user-supplied LED strips to illuminate the insides of your case with 16.7 million colors and 17 lighting effects.
With two USB 2.0, two USB 3.1, and four USB 3.0 ports available, the motherboard can accommodate external storage drives, printers, and other useful USB devices. The two USB 3.1 ports transmit data at 10 Gb/s speeds, and one of the USB 3.1 ports features a convenient USB Type-C design. Other notable connections include HDMI and DisplayPort outputs as well as six audio jacks powered by a Realtek ALC1220 processor. To access the Internet reliably, Intel Gigabit Ethernet is available. For more connectivity options, you can install optional PCIe cards to the motherboard's three PCIe 3.0 x1 slots. - Mystic Light
- MSI's Mystic Light feature provides built-in lighting that can produce 16.8 million colors to match the style of your system. In addition to color selection, it provides 17 LED effects. You can turn off the onboard lighting or connect optional RGB strips to the motherboard. Without needing a separate RGB controller, the motherboard comes with 4-pin JRGB-strip and 3-pin JRAINBOW-strip headers. A Mystic Light app is available for controlling all of the LEDs. Moreover, the lighting system can sync to Mystic Light compatible products.
- Cooling
- The motherboard's six fan headers can automatically detect fans running in DC or PWM mode for optimal tuning of speeds and quietness. Hysteresis also makes your fans spin up fluently to help ensure your system stays silent. With the Total Fan Control app, you can take control of your fans and check the primary system's characteristics in a simplified graphical interface. Additionally, you can set up four temperature targets for the processor and motherboard to automatically adjust the fan's speed. For AIO or custom liquid-cooling solutions, there's a dedicated water header that supports up to 2A of power, giving you full control of the pump's speed.
