Product description The Aztec Blue Mat from Music Hall is an enhanced, decoupling, and cork turntable mat for vinyl records. It is an upgrade to their popular cork mat. Blue Mat features an improved dual layer design. The mats are designed to improve the sound of your favorite records and improve stylus tracking while lowering record wear.
The outside of the mat is lifted by the pieces of cork that surround the mat proper, which supports and decouples it from the platter while the record floats above it. Through this interaction, record vibration is lowered and acoustic feedback is reduced.
The mat is engineered to eliminate sonic muck and orchestrate a clear, dynamic, musical sound. In addition, the cork material's characteristic minimizes unwanted vibrations and is naturally non-static and non-adhesive. This makes it safe for all records and platter types. Additionally, there is less record slippage and fewer timing errors as cork also grips the record better than the usually utilized felt-type materials.
This thin, lightweight mat adds no strain to the turntable motor and is a suitable upgrade for all listening setups utilizing a turntable.
The Aztec Blue Mat is not recommended for DJ use or back-cueing. - Dual-layer design with enhanced decoupling cork material
- Lightweight and thin cork construction
- Sound and tracking improves while reducing wear on records
- Non-static, non-adhesive, and safe for all platters and phonograph records
- Better vinyl grip for less slippage and fewer timing errors
- Works with all turntable platter types
