Product description The rosewood veneer MMF-5.3SE 2-Speed Special Edition Turntable from Music Hall is a 2-speed, belt-driven audiophile turntable employing dual-plinth construction. It isolates the critical sound reproducing components, platter, main bearing, tonearm, and cartridge on the top platform from the motor, switch, wiring, and feet, which are mounted on the bottom platform. Sorbothane hemispheres separate the two platforms and provide vibration damping. The MMF-5.3SE Turntable comes complete with an Ortofon 2M Bronze cartridge.The MMF-5.3SE Special Edition includes upgrades to critical components including vibration damping system, cartridge, and plinth. - 9" carbon fiber tonearm with flexible internal wire drawn from high purity copper
- Counterweight's center of gravity is in level with the stylus tip, decoupled from the arm, and acts as a resonance damper
- Two-speed stepped motor pulley for 33-1/3 and 45 rpm
- DC synchronous motor for speed stability, separately isolated on the lower platform
- Ortofon 2M Bronze cartridge with replaceable nude elliptical diamond stylus, properly aligned and mounted
- Precision stainless steel main bearing sheathed in Teflon for noise-free fluid operation
- Dynamically balanced alloy platter with soft felt mat
- Vibration damping adjustable feet
- Built-in round spirit level for proper leveling
