Product description USB 2.0 has a maximum range of 15 feet using CAT5e cables, making the placement of USB hardwired devices in separate rooms or across large areas difficult. The 4-Port USB 2.0 Extender Kit by MuxLab actually extends the range of cabled USB over 328 feet, giving you the true USB 2.0 speed of 480 Mb/s through your existing CAT5e or CAT6 cables.
Now you can hard-wire USB printers, external hard drives or USB cameras without worrying about placement. The kit includes a transmitter and receiver, and four ports for added connection options. Each component has a separate power supply, and each is encased in an extruded aluminum housing. They are also wall-mountable so they can be placed discreetly in areas where you don't want your equipment in plain view. - True plug and play, no driver installation required
