Product description The MuxLab 500015 Active CCTV Receiver Balun allows transmission of CCTV video signals via a Cat5E/6 UTP/STP (Unshielded/Shielded Twisted Pair) cable. When used in conjunction with MuxLab's passive CCTV baluns (500000 and 500009) at the camera end, the balun supports transmission of color or black and white signals up to 1 mile (1.6 km). Providing a hassle-free cabling solution, it connects directly to CCTV security / surveillance equipment that includes cameras, monitors, DVRs, switchers, multiplexers, and other CCTV equipments. The modular balun features AGC (Auto Gain Control) that automatically enhances the brightness, sharpness and color intensity of the video signal based on the actual cable conditions and GLB (Ground Loop Blocking) for reliable and stable image quality. Made of fire retardant plastic, the active receiver balun includes a hook and loop fastener for optional surface mounting, LED indicators for power, video signal, and ground loop fault, and screw terminals with built-in strain relief for ease of installation. The unit has voltage surge protection on video input and output with auto-resettable fuse. - Allows transmission of CCTV video signals via a Cat5E/6 UTP/STP cable
