Product description The MuxLab 500019 Analog Audio Balun allows a digital audio source to be connected at a distance up to 600’ (183m) from a digital audio decoder/amplifier in a point-to-point configuration using Cat5 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable. Providing a hassle-free cabling solution, the audio balun connects directly to the digital audio equipment that includes DVD, VCR, camcorders, satellite receivers, home theatre, channel processors, amplifiers, D/A converters, MPEG encoders/decoders, switchers, etc. Made of fire retardant plastic, the compact balun measures 2.30 x 0.62 x 0.62” (5.8 x 1.6 x 1.6 cm) and features 2 screw terminals and a built-in cable strain relief for ease of installation. Supporting Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic, dts, LOGIC7, and THX Surround EX, the analog audio balun can be used in home theater systems, schools, concert halls, auditoriums and convention halls, arenas, parks, airports, and hotels. - Allows a digital audio source to be connected at a distance up to 600' (183m) from a digital audio decoder/amplifier in a point-to-point configuration using Cat5 UTP cable
