Product description The 500023 CCTV Mini Balun from MuxLab transmits a single CCTV video signal via Cat 3 or Cat 5 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable, eliminating the need for coaxial cable. Providing a hassle-free cabling solution, it connects a wide range of surveillance equipment such as cameras, DVRs, video switchers, monitors, sequencers, multiplexers, and other CCTV devices.This mini balun supports transmission of color signals at up to 1200' via Cat 3 cable, which can be extended to up to 2200' via Cat 5 cabling. Additionally, the balun can transmit B&W signals up to 1500' via Cat 3 cables, with extended transmissions of up to 2500' using Cat 5 cable.The balun is designed to be used in pairs, and it works in conjunction with other MuxLab CCTV baluns (500000, 500009, and 500015) for additional compatibility. Featuring a compact design, the balun can fit inside a camera back box or dome enclosure for a neat installation, and it is constructed of ABS fire-retardant plastic for durability. - Allows use of Cat 3/5 cables as an alternative to coaxial cables
