Product description The MuxLab 500049 Stereo AV/IR Pass-Thru Balun (Female) allows transmission of a composite video, a stereo audio, and an IR emitter signal in a point-to-point configuration using a Cat5E/6 UTP cable. It supports transmission of composite video signal at a maximum distance of up to 2200' (670m) and audio signal up to 3250' (990m). When used in conjunction with third party IR Remote Control equipment, the balun allows the IR Emitter to be connected to the IR control module via the same Cat5E/6 cable as video and audio. Providing hassle-free cabling solution, the balun connects to DVD players, VCR, satellite receivers, MPEG players, laptops, notebooks, monitors, DLP projectors, CCD cameras, video switchers, sequencers, digital video servers, video multiplexers, video splitters, video converters, and other composite video equipment. Made of fire retardant plastic, the compact balun measures 2.40 x 2.25 x 1" (6.10 x 5.72 x 2.54 cm) and features a full audio bandwidth response of 20 Hz to 20 KHz for high fidelity applications and a built-in color-coded cable leads for ease of installation. It also features a 2-pole terminal block for IR emitter pass-through on fourth twisted pair. Supporting composite video, line level analog audio, and IR remote, the balun can be used in classroom video distribution, commercial and home audio/video systems, hospital video training, video conferencing, and video kiosks. - Allows transmission of 1 composite video, 1 stereo audio, and 1 IR emitter signal in a point-to-point configuration using a Cat5E/6 UTP
