Product description The MuxLab 500058 Component Video/Stereo Audio Balun allows transmission of one component video (YPbPr or RGB) signal and one stereo audio channel via a single Cat5E/6 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable. The balun is used in pairs to transmit component video/stereo audio and supports 480i/p video transmission up to 1000' (305m) and 720p and 1080i/p video transmission up to 500' (152m) via Cat5E/6 cables. For analog stereo audio, the maximum transmission distance is up to 3250' (990m). The component video/stereo audio balun delivers high-definition resolution and combines RGB and true left/right stereo audio over four twisted pairs for hi-fidelity commercial and residential AV applications that include DVD players, satellite receivers, plasma displays, projectors, monitors, up-converters, amplifiers, switchers, home theater and other equipment supporting HDTV component video and/or analog audio. The balun features GLC (Ground Loop Coupling) that eliminates ground loop effects and provides hassle-free wiring. Besides using Cat3/5/6 as a cost-effective alternative to coaxial cabling, the balun also makes changes / additions to modular outlet connections faster and easier. The unit has an ABS fire-retardant plastic enclosure and includes a modular shielded RJ4. - Allows transmission of one component video (YPbPr or RGB) signal and one stereo audio channel via a single Cat5E/6 UTP cable
