Product description The HDMI Over IP Extender with PoE from MuxLab multicasts digital video and audio signals to one or more receivers up to 330' away using CAT5e/6 cable. Each HDMI Over IP Extender consists of a local unit that connects to an HDMI source, and a remote unit that connects to an HDMI source. The local and remote units can be connected together for a point-to-point connection, or through VLAN isolation on a managed network switch for a multipoint-to-multipoint configuration. However, for the multipoint-to-multipoint configuration the gigabit Ethernet switch must support the IGMP communications protocol. The kit includes both an encoder and decoder. The encoder converts an HDMI bit stream into IP allowing it to be transmitted over an Ethernet LAN. The HDMI decoder converts the IP packets back to the original HDMI bit stream for playback via an HDMI display. - Extends 1080p HDMI signals up to 330'
- Supports up to 16 transmitters and 200 receivers
- Supports multicasting and broadcasting
- IR control, HDCP compliant
- Applications include commercial and residential AV systems, classroom projector systems, digital signage, boardroom systems, collaborative PC systems, and medical information system
