Product description The MuxLab Stereo Audio-Video Balun allows transmission of composite video signals and up to 2 unbalanced audio signals in a point-to-point configuration using Cat5E/6 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable, eliminating the need for up to 3 coaxial cables. When used in conjunction with MuxLab’s Audio-Video Distribution Hub (500200), the balun allows distribution of audio-video programming via UTP. It is used in pairs to transmit color video signals at a distance of up to 2200’ (670m) and audio signals up to 5000’ (1524m) via Cat5E/6. Made of fire retardant plastic, the compact balun measures 2.40 x 2.25 x 1.00” (6.1 x 5.7 x 2.54 cm) and features a 9” (22.86 cm) coax (BNC/BNC) jumper cable. Providing a hassle-free cabling solution, the balun connects to DVD, VCR, camcorders, audio receivers, audio amplifiers, AV switchers, splitters, AV mixers, and other analogue audio-video equipment featuring coaxial input or output with BNC or RCA connectors. Supporting composite video and unbalanced audio, the audio-video balun can be used in classroom video distribution, commercial and home audio/video systems, hospital video training, video conferencing, and video kiosks. - Allows transmission of a composite video signals and up to 2 unbalanced audio signals in a point-to-point configuration using Cat5E/6 UTP cable
