Product description The black CR20 Versatile Cardioid Condenser Microphone from MXL features a 22mm capsule with a gold-sputtered diaphragm and a fixed cardioid pickup pattern. This condenser microphone has a tube-emulation switch and can be used to capture audio for vocal and instrument applications. At the flip of a switch, the sonic characteristic of the MXL CR20 instantly changes from crisp and clear with detailed high-end to warm and balanced with a rich bottom-end, which produces a tone similar to that of a vintage tube microphone. Two layers of alloy mesh shield the sensitive, condenser capsule from moisture and vocal plosives. Additionally, the microphone is 48V phantom-powered and is built with an XLR connector. The CR20 includes a standard hard-mount mic stand adapter and microfiber cleaning cloth, and it's packed in an impact-resistant foam, which is housed in a rugged hard plastic case.
