Product description The Genesis FET HE from MXL is a cardioid, large-diaphragm condenser microphone designed for recording vocals and instruments in commercial and project studios. It is the solid-state version of the original MXL Genesis tube condenser microphone. Its cardioid polar pattern maximizes sound rejection from the rear of the mic, providing a directional focus that reduces room reflections in the recording. Its 20 Hz - 20 kHz frequency response ensures full-range transducing of a wide variety of sound sources. The mic features a 32mm capsule with a 6-micron, gold-sputtered diaphragm, and it can handle a high maximum SPL of 140 dB. Low-noise FET circuitry, phantom-power compliance, and an XLR output make it ready for use in the studio. The supplied shockmount decouples the mic from a stand, reducing the pickup of rumble. Also included with the Genesis FET HE is a metal mesh pop filter, ideal for minimizing plosives during vocal recording sessions. The provided aluminum flight case ensures the mic's safety during storage or transport. -
