Product description Designed in coordination with Eddie Van Halen, the MXR EVH 5150 is an overdrive pedal that utilizes multi-stage MOSFET circuitry to provide a tube-like overdrive. It's designed to accommodate many kinds of amplifiers and speaker cabinets, giving you a passive three-knob EQ for tonal shaping and an optional 6 dB boost for gain and compression.
You'll also find a variable noise gate, which can be helpful for particularly high-gain, modern sounds. This pedal is designed to capture both the classic and highly-articular contemporary sounds of Eddie Van Halen, considered by many as guitar royalty. The pedal utilizes hardwire true bypass switching to keep your signal pristine when it's not in use. The pedal can run from a 9V battery or a 9V power supply.
