Product description The National Optical & Scientific Instruments 131-RLED Inclined Monocular Microscope with Cordless LED Illumination is a budget-friendly tool for the classroom. In addition to its low price point it also keeps the cost of powering the LED light at minimum. Three rechargeable AA Ni-MH batteries run the light. With the ability to be recharged up to 1000 times, they're a cost-effective solution. The microscope also features a battery charging adapter which automatically shuts off when the batteries are ready for use, preventing damage due to overcharging. The optical system of the 131-RLED is centered around 4x, 10x, and 40xR DIN standard objectives. Controlled by a 3-hole objective turret, magnification can be easily adjusted from 40-400x. The 45° inclined monocular is obviously a vital part of the microscope. It features a widefield 10x eyepiece with a revolving pointer and the ability to rotate 360° for sharing with other students. When it comes to focusing the 131-RLED has low position coarse and fine controls. Safety features such as the slip clutch, tension adjustment, and safety rack stop all ensure that students can't over turn or otherwise damage the system. - Optical System
