Product description The 452TBL-15 1x/3x Stereo Microscope from National Optical is a dual magnification stereoscopic microscope designed for laboratories, high school and university students. The stereo (two) eyepiece configuration is preferred by most researchers and students because of the superior depth of field and comfort compared to monocular microscopes. This model of the 452 stereo microscope has a paired 15x eyepiece delivering 15x and 45x magnification. Two achromatic paired objectives are parcentered and parfocalled to keep the specimen centered and focused when switching between the two magnification settings.The 452TBL-15 microscope can illuminate specimens from above and/or below using 10W tungsten lights activated by separate base-mounted On/Off switches. The rack and pinion system has a single focus dial and includes a slip clutch mechanism to prevent mishandling. An adjustable interpupillary distance, left-side diopter correction, and reticle holder/retainer make the 452 stereo microscope a welcome addition to classrooms as well as labs. - Optical System
