Product description The National Optical & Scientific Instrument Model 109-LED Compound Microscope is a kid-friendly and budget-conscious instrument for the classroom. Featuring cool LED light, the 109-LED is easy for children to operate. A number of safety features also help protect the microscope for years to come. Examples include the slip clutch, which prevents over focusing, and the rack stop, which prevents damage to the slides. When it comes to optics the 109-LED provides students with 40x, 100x, and 400x magnification, along with color coded 4x, 10x, and 40xR objectives. A widefield 10x eyepiece with a revolving pointer sits at a 45° angle for comfortable viewing. The head also rotates for easy sharing with other students in the group. - Optical System
