Product description A Guide to On-Camera Flash Read More This NW610 Manual Flash Kit from Neewer pairs the capable speedlight with two key accessories for photography beginners. The 4 x 5" softbox goes over your flash head with a touch-fastening strap and can help diffuse the light and soften shadows, folding down for easy storage. As for the remote, it uses IR (infrared) waves to remotely trigger the shutter on a wide variety of compatible cameras including Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Pentax offerings. Finally, four AA batteries are included as well so you can power your flash straight out of the box. With a guide number of 115' at ISO 100, the NW610 is a simple flash with a fixed 35mm coverage area and manual exposure control. It offers eight output levels from 1/1 to 1/128, reaching recycle times of approximately 2.8 seconds depending on your power settings. Bounce and swivel capabilities allow tilting from -7 to 90° up and rotating 270° one way, so you can aim your light practically anywhere. Two built-in panels at the front of the flash head help enhance these features: a small reflector card that can fill in shadows when bouncing light upwards, and a wide-angle diffuser that goes over the front to soften your light. Finally, the speedlight can be used as an optical slave in both instant sync and skip pre-flash modes for synced firing with other flashes. - NW610 Flash
