Product description For capturing audio the D-01 Digital Studio Microphone by Neumann demonstrates what can be achieved with digital microphone technology. It can be used with an AES/EBU or an AES 42 digital interface (sold separately) for diverse applications, including recording studios, broadcast TV, newsrooms, live stage, rehearsals, and more. It features a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz and has 15 remote controllable polar patterns from omni to cardioid to figure-8. Additional features allow the D-01 to be adapted to almost any recording situation. The D-01 microphone features optimized A/D conversion, synchronization technology, and the ability to control microphone parameters and integrated signal processing functions remotely. The D-01 digital microphone meets the most demanding requirements of professional audio production and permits recordings made with no bottlenecks in the signal chain. In addition a fast peak limiter integrated into the microphone provides constant protection from overloading. In addition, the A/D converter is located in the microphone capsule and eliminates the need for external converters and preamps. This allows the sound to be captured directly on the hard drive and provides more time for other essential duties. Difficult questions concerning the optimal preamp and A/D converter for a Neumann mic are thus a thing of the past. A wood storage box is included. - Extremely wide dynamic range is more than 130 dB
- Pre-amps and external A/D converter is no longer necessary since it is built into the microphone capsule
- Control and monitoring of all microphone parameters and functions through remote control software
- Remote control software allows control and monitoring of all parameters, DSP function, peak level meter, and gain reduction bar graph for limiter
