Product description Augment the power of your mixing room, project studio, or any other monitoring setup with the KH 805 Active Studio Subwoofer from Neumann, a 10" woofer that reaches all the way down to 18 Hz, boasts 160W RMS / 200W peak power-handling, and features a multitude of ways to integrate with your existing set up; fourth-order crossover points, manual acoustic controls, four different routing modes, and remoteable electronics (requires optional kit)—all of these allow for greater ease and flexibility in implementation. In addition to providing a loud and accurate low-end, the magnetically-shielded subwoofer increases the maximum SPL of your loudspeaker set up by up to 8 dB, while simultaneously decreasing any harmonic/intermodulation distortion that might be imparted by your main monitors. You can also use the KH 805 as a daisy-chain point for other subs. Furthermore, this unit features a bass management design compatible with 2.1 systems (the common two monitor/one subwoofer arrangement) or 0.1 systems—surround 5.1, 7.1, etc. Thus, it is suitable for music mixing and surround applications, be they musical or post-production in nature. - Flexible Electronic Design
-
- Bypassable fourth-order 80 Hz active crossover for compatibility with consumer reproduction
- Four routing modes on right input connector: right-channel bass management, LFE to subwoofer up to 120 Hz, wide for multichannel systems (where bass-management is the source), and Daisy Chain for subwoofer arrays
- Switchable acoustic controls: Output level, low cut, parametric equalizer, and 45° step phase control
- Remoteable electronics kit for less cabling and ease of use (available separately)
- Built-in limiter for amplifier/driver protection
- Low heat dissipation
- Powerful Driver and Cabinet Design
-
- Extends frequency response down to 18 Hz
- Low distortion due to magnetic shield and long throw driver
- Reduced bass compression at high SPL reproduces bass frequencies in balanced proportion
- Allows main speakers to play louder with lower distortion
- Wooden cabinet sports anthracite finish and high-density rubber isolating feet
