Product description The NVS 6-3 XT from Newcon Optik is an aviation-style night vision binocular. Configured with two objectives, two oculars, and dual 3rd generation image intensifiers - this NVS 6 is capable of outstanding stereoscopic night vision imagery. Depth perception is a crucial concern - and this goggle offers spectacular three dimensional viewing in a cost effective, feature laden package. This lightweight unit is a multi-use professional system that offers versatility and performance that can't be matched with a single-tube design. The NVS 6 is fitted with high-quality lenses that provide a clear sharp line of sight; while the impressive 3rd gen intensifier tubes deliver a remarkable resolution above 64 lp/mm. The NVS 6 comes complete with a fully adjustable mounting system that's compatible with Gallet helmets. There are many variables that affect the distance that one can see with a night vision device; the object's size, ambient weather and lighting conditions, the level of detail needed for recognition, etc. The important factors to consider when evaluating any night vision device are the generation of the intensifier tube along with its specified resolution and s/n ratio. The magnification, clarity, and light transmission performance of the NVD's optics also contribute to its low/no-light performance capabilities. All NVDs sold by feature bright-light protection systems. However, this does not mean that bright light can/will not damage the device. Exposure to bright light compromises the longevity and performance of image intensifier tubes.
